The Five Star Water Tower is another marvel of early 1900 engineering. It was the first water system constructed in Coosa County , part of the plantation's on-site utility system that also included the county's first electrical system and the first concrete poured in the county.
An artesian well fills a 500 gallon cistern below the tower. Water is then pumped up into the water tower and the fall in elevation provides the water pressure to buildings all across the plantation. The tower was recently restored and sports a new coat of paint and the Five Star logo.
