A number of cemeteries are located on Five Star Plantation. Two have been restored, fenced in and marked with signs. The most obvious cemetery is located near the entrance to the plantation, on the right side of the road.
Neither looks like a modern cemetery with neat rows of headstones. Instead, they look like a fenced in piece of woods with a smattering of large stones scattered on the forest floor. However, the cemetery near the main entrance does have several modern looking headstones including family names and dates. Experts have said the cemeteries include older stones without inscriptions dating back into the 1800's.
In addition to these two cemeteries, there is a small burial plot with three headstones that has not been renovated. Five Star Plantation also encompasses the Spivey Cemetery , which is still used and maintained by the Spivey family, descendants of Ann Spivey Jordan .
